Twenty-seven finalists were narrowed down to nine winners at the 30th annual Business Excellence Awards at the Delta Grand Hotel.
It’s the largest business event of the year in Kelowna and a near record crowd of 400 people was in attendance on Thursday.

RISING STAR BUSINESS OF THE YEAR: Current Taxi
YOUNG ENTREPRENEUR AWARD: Andrew Gaucher – GGroup & Catalyst Land Development
SOCIAL IMPACT AWARD: Volinspire
SMALL BUSINESS OF THE YEAR: Hybrid Elevator Inc.
MID-SIZE BUSINESS OF THE YEAR: Newcap Radio
LARGE BUSINESS OF THE YEAR: Northside Industries
In addition, Lane Merrifield of Wheelhouse Ventures was presented with the Business Leader of the Year award.
